In the year of 2002,
I completed developing a therapeutic Herbal formulas for atopic dermatitis. |
| I
have studied immunology at the Guangzhou University of Traditional
Chinese Medicine in China and I came to Shimane Medical University
in 1991 as a research student to study treatments for rheumatism
based on Chinese herbal medicine.

|
| Chinese
herbs have served as the foundation for "Traditional Chinese
Medicine", or TCM, for over 5,000 years. Nowadays the Traditional
Chinese Medicine have been great improvements.¡¡Thanks to these improvements
it is now possible to extract the active molecules from the crude
herb. The Traditional Chinese Medicine is now called Chinese Herbal
Medicine. The raw materials used in the Chinese Medicine are 11,146
varieties from vegetables, 1,581 varieties from animals and 80 varieties
from minerals. Furthermore, through various new production technique,
great efficatious progresses have been made as opposed to the traditional
one. |
During my residency
in Japan as a foreign research student, I noticed a tremendous
number of people were suffering from atopic dermatitis in which
I was very interested since I specialized in immunology.
In China, there was little incidence of atopic dermatitis; therefore
there was no cure developed for it. At that time the chief Director
of Medical Skin Treatment Group Dr. Sumio Iwasaki, with the cooperation
of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and The
Pharmacology Laboratory of Shimane Medical University in Japan,
began to research treatments for atopic dermatitis based on Chinese
herbal medicine. I began by prescribing a different formula of
Chinese herbs to each patient, to research about oral medicine
and external medicine. After carrying on clinical studies in 2002,
I succeeded in developing an oral and external medicine that can
applied in individual specific symptom.I also work as an adviser
doctor at Medical Corporation Soujikai to council patients who
suffer from atopic dermatitis.I would feel extremely happy if
I could continue to contribute to developing new improvements
in Chinese Herbal Medicine.
